On July 3rd we will be celebrating our 15th Anniversary. Our first regularly scheduled Mass was held at the Lake Wylie Lutheran Church. On our second weekend, we were joined by Ellen Sousa Oberer (a direct descendant of John Philip Sousa) who provided the music. Ellen has developed a great music ministry including the traditional choir, LIFENotes, Consolation (funeral) choir, Children’s Choir, Brass Ensemble and Chimes! This Ministry will be Ellen’s Legacy and a foundation for our new Director of Music Ministries, Linda Liberty, who will be joining us next weekend.Linda originally from Florida, has been the Music Director at Woodland United Methodist Church in Rock Hill. The music program on July 3rd is a fitting occasion for passage for Ellen Sousa Oberer and a welcome to Miss Liberty. Fr. John |
